It's been two weeks?

Well, it's another Saturday morning in Columbia. Anne has gone to a Women's Christmas fellowship and I'm sitting here wondering what to write. We made our trip to Christian Educators Conference in Nashville safely. One thing that I came away with is that “preaching is to the heart and teaching is to the mind.” There was a good deal of both in Nashville.

Yesterday, I was planning to go to the Library of Congress to visit my former co-workers. However, I didn’t make it. My old 93 Honda developed some sort of transmission problem and I had to return home. I think I will park the car for a few weeks before I decide what to do with it.

Next Saturday we will travel to Charlotte to spend Christmas with our son Tony and his family. Watch for some posts from down there.

Later!

Saturday Afternoon

Tomorrow morning, Anne and I will leave early to attend a Christian Education Conference in Nashville that we have gone to for several years. It's an opportunity to learn about new ways of administrating and teaching in the local church. Plus, we get to hear lots of "good preaching."

On the way, we will stop in Fredericksburg, Virginia and pick up our friend Debbie. She used to be a member of our church (First Baptist Church of Guilford) but moved several years ago so she could to live closer to her daughter.

The drive to Nashville is long, but we don't like to fly and I like to drive. We will take Interstate 81 through Virginia and northeast Tennessee and then I40 to Nashville. It is a beautiful route through the mountains. A chance to see the majesty of God.

Posting Via Email

I thought that I would try to post this via email. It's Friday night and
I've been roaming the internet and wanted something else to do.
