Monochrome #3

This bench sits in small shady park just off Coligny Beach on Hilton Head Island. In monochrome, it looks like a something from a scene in the movie "Suddenly, Last Summer."

Love the lighting and how the path leads the eye into the photograph. Interesting lines on the path also. Very nice.

As it seems to me, "a long and winding road..."

I was thinking of "The yellow Brick Road" and the "wizard of Oz"

Looks like a nice place to sit and rest while following that long path.

I also like how the pathway leads the eye to the bench...the white is so crisp and reflects the light so nicely. Very nice monochrome...to say the least.

I agree - it does look like a set piece. Much prefer the wild chaos of the flora to the studied placement of the bricks, etc. Nice.

That's an amazing shot. The path is beautifully delined and the trees are amazing. I also like the bench.

The monochrome and the light do make it look like something from a movie, strangely stark and almost more than real.

This is an example of "monochrome" making a photo just perfect. From white to black and so much movement with the winding path. A real keeper. You should print it out and put it in your home!
