Forty-two Years

Forty-two years of days
Departed from our lives,
Flew like pages torn from a calendar
In a Turner Classic movie.

Real memories remain,
Not cinematic hocus-pocus
emblematic of what might have been.
but rich Technicolor memories of love

Anne and I celebrate forty-two years of marriage on Novemebr 9, 2009. To God be the Glory.

Happy anniversary! I really like this! Gus and I have been married for 32 years! Congrats to you! I like how you stated that the memories are real and not cinematic. The final line really gets me. It is very powerful.
