The Lighthouse






Red and white paint fades
beneath the hot summer suns,
-the keeper grows old-
storms crash against rocks below,
still the sentinel stands firm.

They are indeed anchors that stand the test of time. I have this image of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse which I visited on the Outer Banks as a child. Nice.
