Alone this September,

and engulfed with an inner sadness,
she comes by morning to the sea,

remembering that this time each year,
they walked together beside the sea.

Waves create a mist that joins with tears
that linger on her lips, tasting of the sea.

Their log remains, anchored by the sand,
a special monument beside the sea.

Sitting alone now, reflecting on that which was,
hearing yesterdays pounding with the sea,

and engulfed with an inner sadness,
she comes by morning to the sea.

A beautiful statement of love. The loneliness is palpable.

Pensive in loneliness.

Loved the lines,
"Their log remains, anchored by the sand,
a special monument beside the sea"

Enough to engulf one in sadness...

Pensive in loneliness, because of love.

I liked the poem.. but then some times loneliness helps. of course to a limit.. we can restart afresh... making people too wait for us sometimes..

Well do visit me too for my 100th post..
